An update from Daire

Daire's mum sent me this email this morning. Thank you for sharing!

Daire enjoyed listening to the stories, Waiting for the Race, Shoes for the King, and then answering questions on this.  Daire been listening to some cool music on Mama’s phone and he drew a picture to send to Uncle Conal and Aunty Tata to cheer them up in Italy. Daire lost his first tooth and got a visit from the Tooth Fairy!

There is also a picture of us at Elaine Bay with Mamo and Sean Sean (grandparents) taken the week before lockdown.

About to start our reading for the day, and will be trying some phonics this week.

A Game to Play

Yesterday Will and his dad sat down to play a drawing game.  One of them would start drawing a picture and the the other one had to guess what it was as quickly as possible.  They got pretty fast!

Lottie and Will had a go together as well.  Lottie put a tick next to the picture when Will guessed correctly.  There was lots of laughing involved with this game!

An update from Eitan

Eitan and his mum emailed an update.

Eitan has been busy riding his bike around his neighbourhood with his family. Eitan loves listening to the stories online and answering the questions. He listened to each story 3 times. Eitan wrote a story, check out the pictures below.

Lottie is missing a tooth!

Lottie enjoyed writing her story today about her missing tooth. I wonder what Lottie will spend her money on???

Collections

Often when we go for a walk Lottie fills my pockets up with things she finds along the way.

Today we had a go at making a creature out of them.

I just started adding parts to see what it became but you could decide on your animal or insect first, and then try and make it.

We might glue ours down or we might just take photos and then create some more!

Lottie made an octopus!  Now we can learn a bit more about how many legs an octopus has!

We have been doing A LOT of colouring in, going for a bike ride everyday & this week we have really enjoyed the songs & cosmic kids you have supplied us with. 

Kayden and Khloe have been busy!

 Kayden tried out some earmuffs after listening the the Earmuffs story online!

Khloe practised writing her numbers using beautiful colours!

Update from Mila

Mila is enjoying her learning at home. She is starting her day singing the waiata, which leads to the colour song and One day a taniwha. Mila is also practicing the phonics song.

Update from Odin

Odin has been a great help with Octavia who is now 5weeks old!. Odin has made up the nickname waa tavia as she cries a lot

We have been doing a lot of baking and home activities, reading and making the most of our own back yard. He's been doing a story a day in his journal to look back on his time in lockdown.
